LEARN MEDITATION FOR RELAXATION

 (Basic course- introduction to various methods for you to choose what resonates with you)


Our Meditation course (1 night per week, for 4 consecutive weeks) will help you do just that. This course is a short course, desgned to introduce to the  basics of Meditation for relaxation, in a non-religious structure. It is suited to people from all walks of life, young and older..
Suited to anyone wanting to learn how to relax, stay focused and finding a method that will suit you personally. After the 4 weeks you will be equipped with the basic knowledge to know how to Meditate for you to take away and begin your continued practice, in your own home.


Meditation is taught and practised in many ways.
This course simplifies it so that everyone can access its vast benefits. Meditation has been proven to help promote better sleep, reduce high blood pressure, lower stress levels, and can be used as an adjunct therapy in relieving mild depression, anxiety, headaches, PMS and symptoms through Menopause.Meditation for students, allows them to manage anxiety associated with exams and can help them focus and absorb their learning.It can help release unwanted thoughts to make way for the new. You’ll discover less inner conflict and a more relaxed body.A balanced mind and body will create better health. 

We also hold casual classes for people wanting to enhance their meditation or help them to stay committed. For the super-busy people we offer Workshops. At a workshop you can learn the basics in one afternoon see more.It's not as in depth as the course,but will have you well on your way to being able to stop and relax. 

If you would prefer to give yourself time -out to recharge and reconnect we offer a weekend retreat. Our next retreat in November 2011 is almost full with a few more twin share rooms available.Held at the 
Australis Retreat at Wisemans ferry, North West of Sydney, only an hour or less drive from the Hills District. See more

Hello and welcome,

At Escape from the ordinary, we offerLearn to Meditate courses for the beginner along with on going Meditation sessions, Meditation workshops, and Relaxation retreats. Meditation is learnt in small class sizes so each person is able to fully experience and participate in their own Meditation. During this course you will be introduced to various techniques used to help you achieve a still mind.

As we are individual, expecting everyone to Meditate the same is unreasonable. We have found our clients achieve better results once they have discovered their preferred Meditation style, rather than enforcing a one size fits all.
 
After you have participated in the 4 week course, you will have a good understanding of the Physiological and Psychological benefits of Meditation.You will be able to continue with your practice at home,school,work or college.
Soon you will be feeling more resilient and have greater clarity and wellness.

NOW....... try this quick Meditation

Take a deep breath,  just clear your thoughts by concentrating on your breathing , in and out...... in and out........... in and out.
Do it again,
And again.
Continue for a few minutes more........in and out. Stay with it for a couple more minutes.
Notice how while you concentrate on your breathing, you cant think of something else at the same time.
If thoughts do come, take your focus back to......... in and out......... 
Now do it again, be in this moment and you might like to consider reconnecting with your actions as well as your thoughts !

Our Meditation is conducted seated on chairs initially and we also do some relaxing floor work.The reason for not lying down is because if you begin when you are already very tired, it wont be long before you fall asleep.Sleeping is not Meditating.
However, once you have become more experienced at stilling your mind, Meditation is the perfect way to prepare yourself for a great night sleep.
Classes are small so that all students get the full benefits from their own meditation.

As the course progresses ,we will be doing some Meditation on the floor.Visualizations and guided meditations have become favourites in my course and you have the option to sit or lay down.
Remember it is important for you to find your way.There is no right or wrong,just what is...
